B&b Chain Dimore Storiche The room we had faced onto a main street and was VERY noisy and was basically impossible to sleep. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Everything else was fine. Location wise (other than the noice) was great, it was in walking distance to the main attractions. The building the room was situated in was located in a different building (5 min walk) from the reception area. I believe they have other buildings/rooms so a location in a different building may be quieter.

B&b Chain Dimore Storiche The hotel is on a dingy street in the heart of Rome. The people are very nice, especially the mother. But we didn't feel we were in a good neighborhood somehow. The building is old, fine, but lacks charm. The rooms are spacious but have no personality. The hotel lacks a proper lobby. There is no elevator, and yet we were on the sixth landing. The dining area is small and dismal, and breakfast is terrible with a loud vending machine and a do it yourself coffee maker with expired coffee packs. The website description makes it sound like a wonderful and charming experience, when it really felt we were at the Y. Finally the price is equivalent to the room rate at the 4 star hotels right around the corner on Via Cavour such as the Mediterraneo, where we ended up moving luckily--having paid the full fare at Dimore B&B for the entire stay although we could last only one night, but that's another story altogether. We don't recommend this place, and you're sure to find better and cheaper lodging elsewhere in Rome.

B&b Chain Dimore Storiche Premetto che il personale è stato molto gentile e cordiale, e la posizione piuttosto comoda: circa dieci minuti a piedi da stazione Termini, ma l'aspetto dell'hotel non era affatto gradevole. Ben quattro porte prima di arrivarre alla stanza prenotata. Dal portone principale si saliva una rampa di scale piuttosto squallida e trasandata: scale consumate e non pulite, porte vecchissime e rovinate. Aprendo la porta sul pianerotolo si entra in un terrazzo interno con sotto vista di calcinacci e vecchie bici, panni stesi; poi si entra su un'altro portone da cui si apre un altro pianerotolo con altre porte e una delle quali era la nostra stanza. Abbastanza accogliente e biancheria pulita, ma il pavimento non era un gran chè pulito e sotto i letti piuttosto sporco. L'ambiente aveva inoltre un odore di vecchio ed umido. Con bimbi piccoli avrei voluto più igene e un ambiente più gradevole.
