Placed in a typical Venetian alley, only 50 meters away from San Marco square, you will find the BW hotel Montecarlo. The hotel has a very important wine cellar, with over 900 wines, which received several times the “ Best of Awards of excellence".

Any season of the year you may choose to spend some time in Venice, the hotel Montecarlo, situated only 50 m far from San Marco Square is one of the most convenient points in town.
Recently restored, it is based in an ancient palace of the XVIIth century and each room is furnished in the typical venetian style of 1700.
The small size of the hotel assures a quiet stay and an accurate service.
The hotel can be entered through a calle - typical narrow venetian street - full of atmosphere and nice little stores.

All rooms, completely renovated and elegantly furnished in Venetian style assure to the most prestigious clients a comfortable stay.

Close to the hotel there is the restaurant Antico Pignolo which is one the most renowned in town.

In the centre of Venice, only 50 meters from Piazza San Marco and the main monuments in town:The Basilica, Palazzo Ducale, Loggia del Sansovino, Torre dell'Orologio, Ponte dei Sospiri, Museo Correr.

Cómo llegar

By car: you have to leave it before entering the town. In Piazzale Roma, access point of the town, you will find the garage comunale, public parking area (cost: approx. 19 euro/day, reservation is recommended), which is visible from the end of the access ramp of the square. From here by public transport (steamer) line 1 or line 82 (same itinerary al line 1 along the Canal Grande but faster) till the station of San Marco, which is approx. 200 m far away from the hotel. The journey takes approx. 35 min. And costs around 5 Euro/person. Once in Piazza (square) San Marco go under the Torre dell'Orologio (Clock Tower) in direction Rialto, then turn right in Calle Larga San Marco and then left in Cale degli Specchieri. After a few steps you will get to hotel Montecarlo.

By train: get off at the station Santa Lucia. Once at the Station you will see a big square on the Canal Grande. To your right you will find the gangway of the line n. 82. Up here please follow the instructions as above mentioned.

By plane: By the shuttle on water Alilaguna, connecting the dock of Marco Polo airport, directly to Piazza San Marco (10 euro/person - approx. 1 hour) or by bus ACTV line 5 till Piazzale Roma and then by steamer till San Marco.

In case you would like to go by taxi you can choose the private taxi service on water, available from all arrival points to town, we recommend to use official services only (distinguishable by a yellow stripe on sides and a concession number), to handle the price before starting and to get off at Campo della Guerra, which is only 50 m far from the hotel.

Best Western Hotel Montecarlo We traveled to Venice with our grown children and their families. This required us to have 4 rooms. Everyone was happy with their rooms. The front desk was always courteous and helpful. The hotel was located a few steps from San Marco Piazza. Rooms were a nice size as well as the bathrooms. I would stay at Best Western Montecarlo again.

Best Western Hotel Montecarlo Our overall stay at the Best Western Monte Carlo Venice was very enjoyable, all the staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. The breakfat in the morning was good as well. The only negative is the distance between the waterbus drop off and the actual hotel. With 6 other family members and luggage trying to navigate through the crowds in Venice it was a challenge. I should have contacted the hotel staff prior to my arrival for the best route to take to the hotel from the water bus. We were in the vicinity of the hotel. However, there is another Best Wetern Hotel at the other end of San Marco's square and we ended up there which extended our walk to the hotel. Please let all the staff know at the hotel that we appreciated all of their help and we enjoyed our stay very much and will stay there again if we are ever in Venice.

Best Western Hotel Montecarlo Les chambres du dernier étage sont moins confortables que les chambres des autres étages, en raison d'un plafond assez bas (environ 2m). Dans l'ensemble, l'hotel est chaleureux et trés bien situé.

Best Western Hotel Montecarlo Super Lage 2 MIn zum Markusplatz. Personal sehr freundlich, wir sind sehr frueh morgens angekommen, konnten trotzdem sofort ins Zimmer. Wir hatten W-LAN kostenlos und ein huebsches sauberes Zimmer, wir koennen das HOtel weiter empfehlen
