Hotel Ca' Tron Dolo

The Cà Tron Hotel is an ancient eighteenth century Venetian building wisely restored that reflects on the historical and luxuriant canal, called Brenta, in front of Villa Ferretti-Angeli (fifteenth century).

Its location, Dolo in the Venice Mainland half way between the towns of Venice (the Serenissima) and Padova (famous for its Patron Saint), makes it an ideal place for a pleasant, quiet stay for tourism or business purposes in a homely and comfortable atmosphere.

The Riviera del Brenta, is renowned for the richness of its artistic and architectural treasures like ancient Venetian Villas (some designed by Palladio), the "eighteenth" green gardens with labyrinths and especially for the enjoyable guided public cruises with special boats called Burchielli.

The Brenta Riviera is constituted in a group of villages and green areas lying along the ancient bed of the river that joins Padua and Venice. The ideal mainland extension of Venice, considered almost one of the quarters of the City on the Lagoon, the golden era of the Brenta Riviera ran from the 16th until the 18th century, during wich time it became an elite holiday resort for the rich and noble families of Venice. Rich in the events of this area and its people, the Brenta Riviera is stil marked today by the flowering gardens of these noble residences, with villas open to the public, statue-decorated water features, and weeping willows lapping in the currents of the river .

Today the Brenta Riviera is renowned for important national manifestations such as the Venice Marathon and the Riviera Fiorita Festival.

Cómo llegar

By car

From Milan/Bologna/A4 motorway: take the exit Dolo-Mirano and at the roundabout follow the signs for Dolo. At the Dolo-centro traffic lights follow the signs for Venice, along the Riviera del Brenta (SR 11). After 1 km you will find the hotel on your left.

From Trieste/Udine/Treviso/Belluno: from the motorway follow the signs for Venice. Leave the Mestre ring-road and follow the signs for Marghera/Ravenna/Padova. At the second roundabout proceed in the direction of Padova/Riviera del Brenta/Mira on the SR 11 road. From Mira city centre drive on for 3 km. You will find the hotel on your right.

By train

From the Santa Lucia railway station in Venice: cross over Ponte Degli Scalzi bridge (in front of the railway station) and turn right to Piazzale Roma. Buy a bus ticket for Dolo in the ACTV office and take the bus ‘53 for Dolo or Padua. Get off at the Dolo-deposito stop. Head towards Mira-Venice (on the left) and after 300 metres you will find the hotel.

From the Mestre railway station: walk through the underpass and proceed towards Marghera. Cross the street and after 50 metres you will find a bus stop. Take the bus for Dolo or Padua. Get off at Dolo-deposito stop. Head towards Mira-Venice (on the left) and after 300 metres you will find the hotel.

By airplane

From Venice Marco Polo airport: take the bus to piazzale Roma and follow the above-said indications.
