The Cortese Hotel is an authentic architectural jewel and a refined place of warm hospitality located in the stillness of nature surrounding Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore, only a few minutes away from the spectacular view of Mount Mottarone (1,492 m above sea level).
Opened on the 22nd October 2005, this new construction evokes the magical atmosphere of a typical small village, finding within its essential idea of Elegance the perfect synthesis of Modernity in style and Tradition in contents: local stones, precious wood and wrought iron, in fact, transform a prestigious four star hotel into a cosy, delicate and beautiful niche.
Our 34 rooms (of which 2 junior Suites) offer a panoramic view over hills, mountains and surrounding woods, as well as the best amenities in the category: Soundproof walls, natural parquet flooring, orthopaedic mattress, anallergic fabrics, writing desk with PC socket and Internet connection, direct line telephone, satellite tv, Safe, Minibar, Temperature regulator for heating and air conditioning, Hairdryer, large showers with crystal walls, thermostatic tap and wooden deck.
A few rooms are suitably equipped to host disabled guests.
Pets are accepted on request: a few rooms have been reserved for hosting guests with pets and a variety of services, such as veterinary first aid, pet grooming, dog-sitting and a pet centre, are available.
Cómo llegar
By plane: Airports Milano Malpensa (47 km), Milano Linate (92 km) and Torino Caselle (116 km). You can get to the Cortese Hotel by hiring a car directly from the agencies at the airport, or by train (shuttle service from the airport to the railway stations). A daily bus service connects Malpensa Airport to the lakes, specifically to Borgomanero, Stresa and Arona, a few kilometres from the hotel.
By train: The railway stations nearest to the hotel are the ones of Orta-Miasino (3.5 km), Omegna (7 km) and Borgomanero (16 km) on the Novara-Domodossola line, and those of Arona (20 km) and Stresa (18 km) on the Milano-Domodossola line.
By car: Take the motorway Milan-Lakes (A8) and proceed toward Gravellona Toce (A26). Recommended exits are the following:
- Arona toll-booth (16 km from the hotel, about 18 minutes by car): turn left toward Borgomanero, after about 1.5 km enter the roundabout and turn right to Invorio, following directions for Mount Mottarone (Bolzano Novarese, Ameno, Armeno)
- Exit of Brovello Carpugnino (1 4km from the hotel, about 16 minutes by car): at the roundabout take the street on the right and after about 700 metres go uphill on the left toward Gignese - Armeno.
You can also reach the hotel by taking motorway A26 Voltri-Sempione and exit at the toll-booth of Borgomanero (23 km from the hotel, about 25 minutes by car). From here keep left following directions to Lake d’Orta and then to Mount Mottarone (we recommended you avoid crossing the centre of Borgomanero, by taking the bypass flyover which will be met after about 2 km from the motorway exit).

Hotel Cortese The hotel is located a few km by the lake. Nice swimming pool. Rooms were modern and comfortable. We really enjoyed breakfast. We would stay here again.

Hotel Cortese It is a recently built hotel, near the lake of Orta, set in a peaceful location. Our room was very clean, bright and quiet.The restaurant presents a very large set of wines and breakfast was delicious.

Hotel Cortese La position est stratégique pour rejoindre les lacs, par contre il y a beaucoup de bruit à cause du trafic. L'équipe de l'hôtel est amicale et professionnelle.

Hotel Cortese Bien qu'en bord de route, l'hôtel est agréable par sa situation en campagne à 5 km d'Orta; confortable piscine extérieure qui permet un repos et un rafraîchissement non négligeable en été; copieux et varié petit déjeuner pouvant être pris en terrasse; parking sécurisé.

Hotel Cortese Uns hat der Aufenthalt im Cortese sehr gut gefallen, unser Zimmer war sehr ansprechend eingerichtet. Auffällig war die absolute Ruhe im Hotel, obwohl es gut belegt war, das Frühstücksangebot war gut und vielfältig, die Umgebung sehr schön und idyllisch, das Hotel ist uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Hotel Cortese Wir waren mit dem wenn auch kurzen Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder vorbei. Das Hotel ist absolut empfehlenswert!

Hotel Cortese Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr sauber, schöne Lage, bis auf etwas Lärm von der Straße, sehr gute Küche, aber leider ein sehr kleine Karte und keine große Auswahl. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten in die sehr schöne Umgebung.
