Hotel Dogana Sirmione

The "old customs house" is an austere building which dates back to the year 1720. From 1859 till 1866, it was used as barracks of the austrian Royal Empire , and did work as customs in a border locality: it still conserves today the little tower from which the Imperial gendarmes used to controling the border traffic. Transformed in a summer residence by the noble family Vergine, it was commandeered later by the military authority during the war period. From 1948, it did start a new tradition of inn and tavern. Successives renovations did transformed this storical building in a Hotel & Restaurant.

Today it distinguishes itself by its warm and cosy atmosphere which is created thanks to the professionalism and sympathy of Family Pret.

The summer terrace, the private parking , the garage at disposal on request, the open-air swimming-pool with its small garden, the bar , the room service and the reception open 24 hours complete the large range of the services offered.

The reception is at disposal for any suggestion and any useful information as well as for any necessity.

The animals are allowed except in case of previous communication the day of the reservation , and without any extra charge.

The Hotel disposes of 29 rooms, all of them with private bathroom, air-conditioning, Sat-Tv, telephone, radio, safe and hair-dryer at disposal on request.

Spacious rooms for families, in Provençal style in the quietest part of the Hotel, double rooms with small balcony, cosy rooms with a mansard - two of them have a connecting door for family groups - and standard double rooms at the first floor.

Close to the Hotel, the renowned Restaurant "Dogana", with service à la carte. In elegant style, it proposes an excellent regional cooking. The cellar offers a wide range of the best regional wines as well as an optimal list of the most renowned italian wines.

In a separated room, the Pizzeria Dogana, in rustic style presents a painstaking menu with a big choice of imaginative pizzas to be tasted on the open-air terrace.

The banqueting-hall facing the swimming-pool is the perfect place for celebrations, buffets and gala dinners, which can be organized with musical entertainment.

In Lugana di Sirmione, 4 kms far from the old city of Sirmione and 500 m far from the free beach of Lido di Punta Grò.

Optimal departure point for the excursions on Garda Lake and in the rich inland, and to the marvellous towns of art Verona, Venice, Mantova and Brescia.

Easy to reach us from the exits of the motorways:

• PESCHIERA DEL GARDA - from the motorway A4 Milan-Venice for those coming from Verona ( exit at 4 kms far from the Hotel )
• AFFI - from the motorway A22 Modena-Brennero, for those coming from Bolzano. From the exit in Affi, go on in direction of Peschiera del Garda and from Peschiera del Garda, go on straight ahead for 10 kms.
• SIRMIONE - from the motorway A4 Milan-Venice for those coming from Milan-Brescia. In Sirmione, follow the direction of Verona
