Comfort and simplicity are the perfect synonyms for our hotel, which is in the centre of Venice Mestre, the ideal place for people who want to get to Venice quickly and have a warm welcome in a family-run establishment.
We have been in the business for a long time and know that hospitality is essential if we are to keep you as returning guests.
When you arrive at our hotel, then, we shall be very happy to give you all the information you want.
If you come by car you will find plenty of room to park near the hotel, or, by paying a small supplement, you can leave your vehicle in our secure car park (we recommend you reserve a space). You will be free to get to Venice in the most convenient way, using public transport: there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, with services every ten minutes in the daytime to take you to Venice in 15-20 minutes.
Don't worry if you stay in Venice until the small hours as there are buses to take you back to the hotel until late at night, and our staff are here to receive you at any time. On the next day, you can go on with your holiday after the buffet breakfast which is always included in the room price. If you like good fish meals, there is a wide choice of eating places near the hotel, from typical Venetian restaurants to simple pizzerie.
All types of credit card are welcome.
We are constantly renewing the furnishings and bathrooms in our rooms. All rooms have private baths with shower and hair dryer, TV, telephone, isdn lines for internet connection, safe and air conditioning which you can adjust to your own requirements. If you fancy a drink during the night you only need to call reception: we provide a 24-hour service. There's an internet corner at our guests' disposal.
If you are a family or a group of friends, we advise our apartment/suite; you'll save money and get the same service as in the other rooms.
Our hotel is in the historic centre of Mestre in the main square of Carpenedo, with its splendid church. You will find it easy to reach us, whether you come by car, train or from the airport. But a chance you just cannot miss is to be able to get to our city, Venice, so easily. The bus stop is 20 metres from the hotel, with a service every 10 minutes which will take you to Venice in a quarter of an hour, and there are buses to bring you back until late at night.
If you want to drop into a Casino while you are here the only difficulty is choosing which one: there is the classical Venice Casinò, but you can also have a good time in the mainland branch, 10 minutes from the hotel by car or taxi and 15 minutes by bus.
Cómo llegar
FROM VENICE AIRPORT:
- by car or taxi. The taxi fare is from 15 to 20 Euros; if you hire a car, turn left leaving the airport, then turn right after about 200 metres into Via Triestina, (sign for Favaro Veneto); go straight on for about 5 km until you reach Piazza Carpenedo, and the hotel is on the right.
- by bus No. 15, get off at the last stop in Via San Donà (corner of Via Cà Rossa) and walk for about 300 metres as far as Piazza Carpenedo.
FROM TREVISO AIRPORT: You can take a taxi and pay about 35 Euros, or an ATVO bus which will take you to Mestre Station, where you can follow the directions already given above.
FROM THE RAILWAY STATION: If you come by train get off at the Venezia-Mestre station. Go out of the station, cross the road and take bus No. 2 as far as the Piazza Carpenedo stop in front of the hotel.
BY CAR:
- FROM THE A4 MILAN-VENICE MOTORWAY: If you come by the Milan-Venice motorway, after paying at the Venice-Villabona tollgate continue on the Tangenziale (by-pass) until you get to the VIA CASTELLANA exit. Turn right towards the centre immediately after the exit and continue on the fly-over; after about 300 metres, turn left at the traffic lights and go along the avenue Viale Garibaldi for about a minute as far as the end; you will see the church on the right and the Hotel Kappa on the left.
- FROM THE A4 TRIESTE-VENICE MOTORWAY: If you come by the Trieste-Venice motorway, after paying at the tollgate continue on the Tangenziale (by-pass) until you get to the VIA CASTELLANA exit. At the end of the slip road, go three-quarters of the way round the roundabout, turn right towards the centre and continue on the fly-over; after about 300 metres, turn left at the traffic lights and go along the avenue Viale Garibaldi for about a minute up to the end (mini roundabout/T-junction); our hotel is on your left.
- FROM VENICE: We advise you to get bus No. 2, which leaves every 10 minutes and will take you to the bus stop in front of the hotel. Look for the Piazza Carpenedo stop.
FROM TREVISO: Mestre is 17 km from Treviso. Go along Via Terraglio as far as the traffic lights in front of the Caserma Matter, an army barracks on your left. Turn left into Via Trezzo and the Hotel Kappa is about 1 km along on the left.

Hotel Kappa El hotel en sí esta bien, pero le faltan algunos detalles, como es el no tener nevera en las habitaciones. Los cuartos de banos resultaban tan pequeños, sobre todo las duchas, que había que salirse de ellas para poder lavarte los pies. El desayuno era escaso, pedias las cosas y tardaban mucho en ponerte el café o la leche y constantemente había que estar diciendo que repusieran las cosas que no había, pero las seguian sacando muy poco a poco, de pena... La situación del hotel esta bastante bíen, púes tienes la parada del autobus cerca y te deja justo en la estación para tomar el vaporeto que te lleva a Venecia. Si sois atrevidos podeís pasar el autobus y el vaporeto sin pagar hay muy poca vigilancia.

Hotel Kappa We chose hotel Kappa we thought it would be handy to where the bus dropped us from Treviso airport. Unfortunately it it was about 3km away and we had problems finding it at 12pm at night. Once reached however we were made welcome.

Hotel Kappa Breakfast was delightful. It is an easy bus ride to the boat docks of Venice. Quiet location. Safe location. It would have been a nice improvement to have internet available.

Hotel Kappa We really enjoyed our stay here. It was within walking distance to the train station.The bus stop was very close by. The restaurant next store we could have skipped.( very pricey)

Hotel Kappa Hotel Kappa was a pleasure to stay at. I arrived late in the evening and was warmly welcomed by the owner who couldn't have been more helpful. He even helped arrange a meal for me at a nearby bar after their kitchen had closed. The hotel was impeccably clean - I would recommend it.

Hotel Kappa A better map would be useful. It took me several circuits of the Mestre one-way system and asking two sets of people who had never heard of the place before I came on it almost by accident in the dark.

Hotel Kappa Our only complaint which we did not mention during our stay was that there was a smell from the drain in the shower en suite room. This was significantly reduced by placing the bath mat over the offending drain. Otherwise, everything was very satisfactory, John Hodgkinson.

Hotel Kappa The hotel was fine and the staff were extremely helpful. But, the hotel is about 25 minutes by bus from Venice, which was excessive for the relatively high price of the hotel.

Hotel Kappa great breakfast selection. I don't know if we read the web site wrong or not, but we were expecting it to be within walking distance of the train station and it is about a 15 min. bus ride away.

Hotel Kappa We enjoyed Hotel Kappa very much. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was good; easy bus access and not far from the airport. I would certainly reccomend this hotel to friends visiting Venice.

Hotel Kappa nous avons rencontré des problèmes lors de notre départ le samedi 30 /10au matin à 5h dés notre arrivée nous avons auprès de l'hôtesse de l'hôtel réservé un taxi pour l'aéroport à 5 h le matin du départ nous avons appris qu'il était réservé pour 5h15 donc la course pour l'enregistrement à l'aéroport et en plus nous étions à jeun la veille de notre départ l'hôtesse nous a dit qu'à 4h45 on pourrait avoir un café et des biscuits emballés , lorsque nous l'avons demandé au monsieur présent à l'accueil le matin du départ nous nous sommes fait insulter en nous disant qu'il était hors de question d'avoir quoi que ce soit à boire ou manger une personne vraiment très désagréable et de plus nous avions règlé le petit déjeuner du dernier jour voila pourquoi nous sommes très mécontant de l'accueil et du manque de sérieux du personnel de cet hôtel
