The
Hotel Ungherese is housed in a villa built in the early years of
the century, at the foot of the hill leading to Fiesole, in the
tranquil, residential area of San Gervasio, close to many sports
facilities and a beautiful park.
It can be reached from the city centre and the central station by
car or by public transport in only a few minutes; the area is easy
to park in, and the hotel also has an arrangement with a nearby
private garage.
Stylishly decorated, with period furniture and paintings, the Hotel
retains the name given to it by its founder, a Hungarian gentlewoman,
some of whose personal historic effects survive (such as the coatofarms
of the AustroHungarian monarchy, and the portraits of the prince,
and Hungarian hero, Ferenc II Rakoczi, and Elizabeth "Sissi",
the Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary).
All the rooms in the Hotel have a private bathroom, colour TV, telephone,
safe deposit, hairdryer and air conditioning.
The villa is enhanced by a large terrace, and by an enchating garden,
where one may enjoy a lavish breakfast or a pleasant drink.
