Cristoforo Benigno Crespi was born in Busto Arsizio, after becaming a succesful trader in cotton and totally charmed by Bagdad, in 1879 he built this Moorish villa on the land near the lake where he had spent most of his childhood. During the thirties Villa Crespi was sold to the Marquis Fracassi of Torre Rossano and over the years poets and captains of industry, princesses, kings and queens have graced its halls. At the end of the eighties, it has been transformed by its present owner the Lawyer Raffaele Esposito into this exclusive 4-stars hotel where nature, art and history entwine to leave their guests with unforgettable memories.

Villa crespi has a modern mediterranean cuisine, as per its chef's roots and even though fish plays a primary role, it never disregards all other products. First of all comes the raw materials' choice: they are the most important part of any elaborated dish. From Piedmont meat to southern Italian buffalo's cottage cheese, from San Remo shrimps to Sicilian red mullets, from Alba's truffles to annurca apples: all we buy is the best we can find on the market every day. While choosing fruit and vegetables, we prefer bio products. As our granmothers did, we start from flour and fresh eggs to prepare our home made pasta, which is the symbol of Italian cuisine: an example is our Gragnano pasta we usually serve with sea-urchins, local crayfish and annurca apples. In the cellars, one only for red wine and another one for white wines, champagne and spumante, our wines can rest at a pefect level of humidity and temperature. Our wine list can offer you the best Italian and international production and counts more than 1000 labels, divided by production areas and producers.

The Restaurant is closed on Monday and on Tuesday for lunch.
