The hotel is strategically situated for tourists and business visitors
to Genoa alike. In fact, Locanda di Palazzo Cicala is in the very heart
of the historic city centre, opposite the Duomo, and gives onto the
sixteenth-century Piazza San Lorenzo, just a short walk from Palazzo
Ducale and the Old Harbour, where guests can visit the aquarium or
depart on boat tours of the Riviera di Levante to Camogli or Portofino. All the monuments, churches and museums of historic or artistic
interest in the old town can be reached in less than five minutes on
foot through a network of pedestrian streets, piazzas and steps that,
along with the area bordering the old town, make up Genoa's main
shopping district. The location is also ideal for evening, because all the most important
theatres and cinemas and popular nightspots are concentrated in the old
town. Locanda di Palazzo Cicala has all the magic of a "hotel de charme".
It occupies the first floor of the historic and newly renovated Palazzo
Cicala. There are the remains of a medieval loggia on the façade overlooking
Piazza Duomo, while the eighteenth-century main building front features
magnificent stucco decorations. The hotel building has recently undergone a complete restoration in the original style. The interiors, on the other hand, have been refurbished according to
the precepts of contemporary design, with minimalist lines and sober
colours creating an elegance that is offset by a few carefully chosen
period.

porters.
With a view to creating an "office away from the office", every room is equipped with a telephone, fax, personal computer (in some rooms), always-on internet connection, radio and satellite TV.

Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala The best is the central location but the room price is too high compared with the technical standard of the hotel. I would recommend the hotel to a friend because of its central location but I would also clearly tell that the hotel is generally too expensive compared to what it offers.

Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala We are from New York and recently stayed at the Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala in Genoa for our honeymoon. The hotel exceeded our expectations, and we were very happy with our choice. The staff, especially the hotel manager Cristina, were tremendously helpful and patient, always happy to pull out a map and direct us to restaurants, attractions etc. Not only is the hotel's location absolutely stunning (right in the middle of the historical center of Genoa), the interior of the hotel is beautiful- modern, yet classic. We were allocated a gorgeous room on the third floor, which had big terrace overlooking the square and cathedral that neighbor the hotel. Our room also featured a library, large bathroom with jacuzzi and more space overall than we knew what to do with! It was a fantastic hotel, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. We will definitely be going back.

Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala We were very pleased with the hotel, once we found it. We walked from the train station and found the Piazza San Lorenzo fairly easily, but had trouble finding the entrance to the hotel. The room was wonderful, especially for the price, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. If I make it back to Genova, I will definitely stay here again.

Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala I previously read online a very negative report on the Locanda saying the hotel were very unprofessional. I could not disagree more. The receptionist was extremely helpful and charming. I wanted to say another night in the Locanda, but unfortunately it was full. The receptionist sorted out a room for me in another local hotel and could not have been more helpful. I did however, find it quite difficult to locate the hotel using the map that was provided.

Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala Hotel was impossible to find - we looked for an hour with our gps and couldn't find it. It was on a "restricted road" with the entrance hidden in an alley way. No computer in room as specified. Hotel was on second floor - no elevator from first floor to second floor, so had to drag bags up a large flight of stairs.

Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala un po rumoroso di notte, pero un posto ideale per scoprire il centro storico di Genova. Grande belle stanze con PC ed internet. Manca solo tavole di altezza normale per la piccola collazione. è communque un luogo eccezionale, e cambia dell' albergo "standard".

Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala Un'ottima struttura nel cuore di Genova, vicina al porto ma soprattutto ai maggiori monumenti della città. Tengo a precisare che l'unica nota dolente è il parcheggio peraltro non vicino e senza convenzione con la Locanda il che fa si che non ci siano dei posti riservati.

Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala Nell'offerta era indicato che ogni stanza ha un collegamento internet e non è vero: nella nostra (n. 110, terzo piano) non c'era. Il televisore aveva solo tre canali (del tutto sconosciuti) e mancavano i principali sette (RAI, medianset e La7). Abbiamo avvertito subito la direzione ma nulla è cambiato. Siamo usciti dalla stanza alle ore 9,30 di mattina, siamo ritornati per fare dormire i bambini alle 14,30; la stanza non era ancora stata pulita. Alle 15,00 è venuto l'addetto e gli abbiamo chiesto di ritornare dopo le 17.00. Siamo usciti alle 16,40 (perchè l'addetto ci aveva detto che alle 17.00 finiva il suo turno!!!!!) e ritornati alle 22.00, avvertendo, prima di uscire, che la stanza non era ancora stata pulita e ricevemdo ampie assicurazioni al proposito. Al nostro ritorno la stanza non era ancora stata pulita (!!!!), gli asciugamani non erano stati cambiati e i cestini della spazzatura non erano stati svuotati. Abbiamo avvertito la reception e la ragazza si è presentata con 4 asciugami puliti, ce li ha lasciati e se ne stava andando!!!!! Gli abbiamo quindi chiesto di portarsi via almeno gli aciugamani sporchi e di svuotare i cestini. Il giorno dpo, quando è arrivata la responsabile sono sceso da lei e anzichè avere le scuse dell'Hotel ci è stato detto che la stanza non era stata pulita perchè noi non avevamo lasciato la stanza quando è arrivato l'addetto alle pulizie!!! Secondo questa signora l'albergo, dopo le 17.00, assicura solo il cambio della biancheria. Peccato che la biancheria non era stata cambiata, le lenzuola non sono state cambiate affatto e peccato che noi siamo rimasti in albergo solo dalle 14,30 alle 16,40. Non so se è chiaro!!! Locanda Di Palazzo Cicala Nous n'avons pas été logé dans le bâtiment pricipal mais dans un appartement de l'annexe (très confortable) dans une petite rue extrêmement bruyante. Nous étions à l'écart sans possibilité de communication directe avec la réception (pas de téléphone) d'où un sentiment d'isolement désagréable. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est parfait (excellente qualté et accueil très sympathique)
