The guesthouse Alcova del Doge is situated in Mira - Venice in the heart of the Brenta River countryside, antique holiday location for the Venetian nobles, 15 km from Venice and 20 km from Padua.
As you enter, you'll be welcomed by a cosy hall, surrounded by enchanting greenery and 1600's walls. Michela and Sabrina, the owners of the house are happy to welcome and provide hospitality to you and your loved ones, your friends, your family, your pets, and naturally your car or bicycle that will find a safe shelter for the night.
The six romantic bedrooms of the Alcova del Doge reflect all the
particular care and passion that was put into choosing the right
fabrics and furnishings by the house owners.
The furniture was carefully selected from antique markets and dealers
and different colours were used for each room in order to create a warm
and cosy atmosphere, while still including all the comforts. All the spacious ensuite bathrooms have hairdryer and magnifier mirror.
From the windows you can admire a wonderful view of the courtyard, a
vigorous park of an old, antique villa and the suggestive and relaxing
flowing of the Brenta River, giving you a real sense of peace and rest.
Only a few kilometres from us, you can visit the famous Venetian Villas on the Brenta Riverside, easily reachable by bike or you may go on one of the many organized river- boat tours. Verona, Venice , the spectacular Po Delta, the Dolomite Mountains , the vast beaches of the Adriatic Riviera, the Thermal Baths and the Prosecco wine Road are only an hour away.

By car:
- from Milano, Roma, Bologna ( A4, A13), highway A4 exit Dolo-Mirano. At the round turn right on the 3rd exit (via Delle Cave then via Molinella) following the blue indications to Mira.Continue for about 4 km . At the end of the street turn left and in 50 m . you'll see the "Alcova del Doge" on your left.
- from Tarvisio-Udine, Trieste ,Belluno or Pordenone ( A4, A23,A27,A28), highway A4 exit Venezia Est. Take the "tangenziale"(by-pass), following the green indications A4 to Milano.Take the A4 to Milano and go out at Dolo-Mirano. At the round turn right on the 3rd exit (via Delle Cave then via Molinella) following the blue indications to Mira. Continue for about 4 km . At the end of the street turn left and in 50 m . you'll see the "Alcova del Doge" on your left.
- from the Venice airport "Marco Polo", follow the green indications A4 to Milano , take the highway A4 to Milano and go out at the exit Dolo-Mirano At the round turn right on the 3rd exit (via Delle Cave then via Molinella) following the blue indications to Mira.Continue for about 4 km . At the end of the street turn left and in 50 m . you'll see the "Alcova del Doge" on your left.
- from Ravenna , SS 309 "Romea", follow the blue indications to SR11 to Padova.In 10 km you'll reach the town of Mira.Get past the centre direction Dolo-Padova. The "Alcova del Doge" is at 300 m . on the right.
By bus: ACTV buses leaving every 15-30 minutes from Venice (piazzale Roma), from Mestre (P.zza XXVII Ottobre), from Padua (bus station P.le Boschetti) and get off at the bus stop "Capitello Albrizzi" in Mira. The "Alcova del Doge" is at 150 m from the bus stop.
By plane:
- from the Venice airport "Marco Polo", follow the green indications A4 to Milano , take the highway A4 to Milano and go out at the exit Dolo-Mirano At the round turn right on the 3rd exit (via Delle Cave then via Molinella) following the blue indications to Mira.Continue for about 4 km . At the end of the street turn left and in 50 m . you'll see the "Alcova del Doge" on your left.
- If you travel using the public means of transportation catch the "ATVO EXPRESS" bus to Mestre leaving every half an hour or the ACTV city bus n° 15 and get off at "Piazza XXVII Ottobre". From here catch the ACTV bus n° 53E Venezia-Padova and get off at the bus stop "Capitello Albrizzi" in Mira. The "Alcova del Doge" is at 150 m from the bus stop.
- From Treviso Airport: if you use the public means of transportation catch the "ATVO EXPRESS" bus to Mestre connecting to your flight. Get off at "Piazza XXVII ottobre". From here catch the ACTV bus n° 53E Venezia-Padova and get off at the bus stop "Capitello Albrizzi" in Mira. The "Alcova del Doge" is at 150 m . from the bus stop. By train from the railway station of Venezia- Mestre or Padova: catch a local train (Regionale) to the railway station of Dolo-Mirano. We'll be happy to organize for you a taxi service to the "Alcova del Doge", situated at 3 km from the station.

Relais Alcova Del Doge This is a very good location for trips around the venice area. The house is small but has a very loveley ambiente. The owners are realy trying to make it a pleasent stay. In the front of the house is a very busy street but with a room in the back which we had, there was no problem with traffic noise. We realy can recomment this hotel and will book it again the next time we go to venice.

Relais Alcova Del Doge Sarebbe utile la presenza full time di una persona alla reception, anche per una questione di sicurezza della clientela. Confermo tuttavia che l'accoglienza del personale all'arrivo e alla partenza è stata buona.

Relais Alcova Del Doge è una struttura molto interessante...in alternativa al solito hotel il casale è bello e la nuova destinazione d'uso lo valorizza la ristrutturazione è accurata...ed inoltre ha ampi margini di miglioramento l'unico neo...è la scarsità di posti auto per il parcheggio... purtroppo la zona non consente di fare molto a proposito... comunque a quanto so si stanno muovendo in tal senso inoltre la zona è ben servita dai mezzi pubblici e...taxi...

Relais Alcova Del Doge E' carino e accogliente. Le proprietarie sono gentili e sempre pronte a consigliare luoghi da visitare e osterie di ottimo rapporto qualità/ prezzo. Le stanze sono arredate in stile e pulitissime! I pavimenti in graniglia veneziana sono da vedere. L'autobus per venezia parte ogni mezz'ora e la fermata è a pochi metri dal relais. Comodissimo! Ci torneremo sicuramente e lo consiglieremo a tutti i nostri amici e conoscenti.

Relais Alcova Del Doge j'ai beaucoup apprécié la situation de l'hôtel, environ 20 kms de Venise et le long d'un canal. De plus, cet hôtel a su garder un décor d'époque qui sied bien à la Vénitie. Hôtel à recommander

Relais Alcova Del Doge Maison pleine de charme. Accueil charmant. Un petit bémol : l'hôtel est situé au bord d'une route très fréquentée et donc bruyante, et le parking est très petit et d'un accès pouvant se révéler difficile en raison du trafic intense à certaines heures. Néanmoins, je n'hésiterais pas à retourner à l'Alcova del Doge.

Relais Alcova Del Doge Sehr schöne Lage (wenn auch an lauter, sehr verkehrsreicher Straße), guter Service, gute Zimmer und guter Preis. Ein idealer Platz um von hier aus Besuche in Venedig zu unternehmen

Relais Alcova Del Doge Das von uns bewohnte Zimmer ist wunderschön und liebevoll renoviert, ebenso das große Bad mit Fenster. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wunderbar geschlafen. Obwohl die Hauptstraße sehr befahren ist, haben wir kaum Verkehrslärm vernommen (allerdings ging das Zimmer nach hinten). Einziger Nachteil ist die doch sehr große Entfernung in Richtung Venedig, wobei sich einige Meter vom Hotel entfernt die Bushaltestelle mit halb- bis stündlicher Anbindung nach Venedig und Padua befindet.

Relais Alcova Del Doge Ein nettes Haus, mit Liebe eingerichtet und geführt. Die Lage am Brentakanal ist einmalig, auch wenn an der Haupstraße morgens und abends ziemlich dichter Verkehr vorbei fließt. Die Busverbindung nach Venedig klappt gut, die Haltestelle ist nur 2 min vom Hotel. Wir haben das Auto nie gebraucht. Auch für Radausflüge ist die Umgebung bestens geeignet.

Relais Alcova Del Doge Doch etwas weit von Venedig entfernt. Entweder mit dem Schiff - schön, aber teurer (Parken 8 EUR plus Schiff =10 EUR p.P)oder mit dem Bus (4 EUR) über die Strasse quälen min! 40 Min. Abends Essen gehen oder mal in die Bar nicht ganz einfach. Auf der Strasse ist schwer was los. Sonst sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, eigentlich ganz nett. Die hinteren Zimmer sind rel. ruhig.
